The Crab Bay is committed to making our website — and the experience of dining with us — accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our digital and physical experience for all of our guests.
Our Standard
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
What We've Done
- Semantic HTML structure with descriptive headings, landmarks, and labels.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA thresholds for body text and interactive elements.
- Keyboard navigation: every link, button, and form control can be reached and activated by keyboard.
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and empty alt attributes on purely decorative ones.
- Responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and desktop screens, and remains readable when zoomed up to 200%.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test new pages and content with accessibility in mind, and we audit the Site periodically to find and fix issues. If you discover a barrier or have a suggestion, we want to hear about it.

Third-Party Content
Some content on the Site is provided by third parties (for example, our online ordering platform or embedded maps). We work with reputable providers but cannot guarantee accessibility on services we do not control. If you run into a problem with a third-party tool, we will gladly help you complete your task another way.
